(Sharecast News) - The decline in investor sentiment across the eurozone eased slightly in December, according to a closely watched survey from Sentix on Monday, though confidence remained in negative territory for the fifth straight month.
The Sentix investor confidence index, which surveys institutional investors and analysts across the single-currency region, rose to -6.2 this month from -7.4 in November.
This was in line with the consensus forecast.
The index has not moved above zero since June - one of only two times that a positive reading has been recorded since February 2022.
The current situation indicator increased to -16.5 in December from -17.5 the month before, while the expectations sub-index rose to 4.8 from 3.3.
