LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Investor focus in the middle of the week will be on the cost of living in the UK.
At 0700 GMT, the Office for National Statistics is expected to announce that the annual rate of increase in the country's Consumer Price Index slowed from 2.3% in April to 2.0% during the month of May.

Core CPI meanwhile was seen slowing from 3.9% to 3.5%.

Due out alongside was a reading on factory gate inflation covering the same month.

Worth noting, US markets would remain closed in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.

Across the Channel, the Bundesbank was to release its monthly economic bulletin.

On the corporate side of things meantime, Berkeley Group Holdings was to release its results for the 2024 financial year.

The key to the homebuilder's results presentation would lie in its guidance for fiscal year 2025, said Gregor Kuglitsch at UBS.

For FY 2024, the analyst was ahead of consensus, estimating that Berkeley would report profit before tax and exceptionals of £569m (consensus: £550m) with cash due on forward sales pegged at £1.88bn, versus guidance for less than £1.96bn.

He was also anticipating that Berkeley would guide towards FY 2025 profit of £500m.
