Revenue, orders rise in first half at Weir Group

(Sharecast News) - Weir Group reported first-half revenue of £1.27bn on Wednesday, up 5% at constant currency, while orders rose 8% to £1.43bn as demand remained strong across copper, gold, iron ore and oil sands markets.

(Sharecast News) - JPMorgan lifted its price target on Weir Group on Wednesday to 3,800p from 3,500p and maintained its 'overweight' rating on the stock as it cited an attractive entry point despite first-half concerns.

(Sharecast News) - Engineering firm Weir said on Thursday that first‑quarter order growth had been supported by rising investment in brownfield and greenfield mining projects as supply deficits in key metals emerged, but traded lower as it announced the exit of long-time chief executive Jon Stanton.
