LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Healthcare software firm Craneware said on Monday that it had identified and was responding to a cyber‑security incident involving unauthorised access to part of its data environment.
Caneware said its incident response plan had been activated, with the board appointing external cyber‑security and forensic specialists to work alongside its internal IT team and existing security providers.

According to the the AIM-listed firm, the breach has been contained, with no disruption to customer services or wider operations. External specialists have also confirmed that there were no residual indicators of compromise across its systems.

Early findings indicate that a significant volume of file names were viewed and exfiltrated. Craneware said much of the data involved appeared to be non‑sensitive or already public regulatory information, though a portion of employee data and a subset of customer and partner records were also accessed.

Craneware said it was continuing to assess the full nature and scope of the data affected and added that it was working with advisers to identify impacted parties and prepare appropriate notifications, including any further regulatory disclosures required.

As of 1005 BST, Craneware shares were down 6.75% at 1,132p.
