LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Shares of AkzoNobel shot higher on Friday as it emerged that activist investor Cevian Capital has taken a 3.02% stake in the Dulux owner.
According to a regulatory filing, Cevian bought more than 5 million ordinary shares through its portfolio Cevian Capital II Master Fund LP on Wednesday.
At 0855 BST, the shares were up 4.4% at €59.50.
