LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - The market spotlight on Thursday will continue to be on the US President.
Donald Trump is scheduled to speak at the World Economic Forum, at Davos, Switzerland, via video link.

In the background, at 1330 BST the Department of Labor will release weekly unemployment claims data and at 1600 BST the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas will publish its regional factory sector index for January.

Later, at 1800 BST, the US Treasury will hold an auction of 10-year inflation-linked government debt.

At 1500 BST Eurostat will publish its consumer confidence index for the euro area in January.

No major economic reports are due out in the UK.

On the company side of things, Harbour Energy will release its fourth quarter and full-year numbers.

In its November trading update, the oil and gas outfit guided towards full-year output of 255-265,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

Capital expenditures meanwhile were pegged at about $1.8bn with net debt seen at around $4.7bn and free cash flow at approximately $300m when shareholder distributions and one-off acquisition costs are excluded.

The company also raised its annual dividend from $200m to $455m.
