LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Shares of TD Ameritrade surged in pre-market trade following a report that Charles Schwab is in talks to buy the online broker.
According to CNBC, a deal could be announced as early as Thursday.
At 1120 GMT, TD Ameritrade shares were up 18.4% in pre-market trade at $49.00 while Charles Schwab shares were 0.8% higher at $45.10.
