Focusrite wins its fifth Queen's Award

By Josh White

Date: Thursday 28 Apr 2022

LONDON (ShareCast) - (Sharecast News) - Audio hardware company Focusrite announced on Thursday that its subsidiary Focusrite Audio Engineering (FAEL) had won the Queen's Award for Enterprise for international trade, announced in Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee year.
The AIM-traded firm said it was the fifth Queen's Award it had received, and the third time it acknowledged the "outstanding and sustained growth" of its international sales.

FAEL previously won the Queen's Award for Innovation in 2008 and 2018, and the Queen's Award for Enterprise for international trade in 2012 and 2016.

Another Focusrite subsidiary, Martin Audio, previously won the Queen's Award for Innovation in 2021 for its 'Wavefront Precision' optimised line arrays.

"Since 1989, Focusrite has been a notable brand in the world of music recording and it has become pre-eminent in the development of computer-based recording, the standard approach these days," said founder and non-executive chairman Phil Dudderidge.

Chief executive officer Tim Carroll added that Focusrite was "extremely proud" to receive another Queen's Award.

"Each one we have won is near and dear to our hearts as they are the culmination of much hard work and a great team effort.

"As we continue to grow our global footprint as a proud British brand, being recognised again for the Queen's Award for Enterprise for international trade is such an honour."

At 0928 BST, shares in Focusrite were flat at 1,045p.
