LONDON (ShareCast) - (ShareCast News) - Founder and creative director of UK-based restaurant firm Comptoir Group Tony Kitous sold 333,333 shares in the company at a price of 0.15p each on Monday.
The £49,999.95 sale came after Comptoir's shares had begun to recover from the more than 30% hit to the stock back in June following a profit warning.

Multiple businesses in Britain's casual dining sector had warned investors of a difficult trading outlook over the course of 2017 and Comptoir was no exception to the rule with first half pre-tax losses widening from £435,454 in 2016 to £755,833 a year later, despite a 36% boost to its revenue.

Richard Kleiner, non-executive chairman of the company, said in September, "Notwithstanding the challenging environment that has subsisted since early 2017, I am pleased to see that, over the last few months, the business revenue has stabilised."

"The company is therefore in a good position to take advantage of the opportunities that the board believe will arise over the foreseeable future," he added.

As of 1430 BST, shares had gained 4.55% to 23.00p.
