US open: Major indices retreat as traders return from President's Day break

(Sharecast News) - Major indices were in the red early on Tuesday as traders returned from yesterday's President's Day break.
As of 1520 GMT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 0.34% at 49,330.74, whille the S&P 500 shed 0.76% to 6,784.37 and the Nasdaq Composite shed 1.15% to 22,287.13.
