London close: FTSE reverses earlier gains; US bank earnings in focus

(Sharecast News) - London stocks erased earlier gains to end a touch lower on Tuesday as investors mulled a slew of US bank earnings.
The FTSE 100 closed down 0.1% at 10,650.33, while Brent crude was down 0.8% at $105.81 a barrel and West Texas Intermediate was 0.2% higher at $93.94.
