tinyBuild flags early-year revenue ahead of expectations

(Sharecast News) - Video game publisher and developer tinyBuild said in an update on Tuesday that revenue for the first five months of 2025 was slightly ahead of expectations, excluding the contribution of Red Cerberus, which was divested in April.
The AIM-traded company, which was holding its annual general meeting, said it was maintaining tight cost control and disciplined investment as it prepared for a release-heavy second half of the year.

Despite ongoing industry headwinds and selective delays to upcoming games, tinyBuild highlighted a strong sales pipeline, with titles such as Kingmakers, Sand, Ferocious, and Streets of Rogue 2 attracting robust interest.

Kingmakers was now the 13th most wishlisted game on Steam, with the others also ranking in the top 150 - an indicator of potential demand upon release.

Cash and cash equivalents stood at a mid-single-digit million figure at the end of May, with no outstanding borrowings.

The firm said it expected cash to reach a low point during the summer before improving following planned game launches.

Management said it was continuing to align investment decisions with player demand and audience feedback.

While macroeconomic uncertainty and the war in Ukraine continued to present operational risks, tinyBuild said it was actively monitoring its exposure and supporting affected staff.

The board reiterated its confidence in meeting full-year expectations, underpinned by a pipeline of higher-budget titles and ongoing catalogue updates.

"Our investments to create new great IP are starting to bear fruits," said chief executive officer Alex Nichiporchik.

"Last week, we held our second tinyBuild Connect to showcase the most promising pipeline we ever had, including the likes of Sand, Kingmakers, Duckside, Streets of Rogue 2, the King is Watching, Trainfort, All will Fall, Of Ash and Steel, SpeedRunners 2l and more.

"I am excited about 2025 and beyond and I want to thank all the people that make this possible."

At 1039 BST, shares in tinyBuild were up 2% at 5.74p.
