Week ahead: US CPI, French no-confidence vote, China data, ECB in focus

(Sharecast News) - Investors' focus over the coming week will be on the latest consumer price data due out in China and the US.
Those reports will be forthcoming on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
Chinese foreign trade figures will land on Thursday.
Key as well will be the result of the no-confidence vote scheduled for 8 September in the French parliament.
Against that backdrop, also on Thursday rate-setters at the European Central Bank will meet to decide on policy.
Expectations are still - for now - that the ECB is done with cutting interest rates.
At the end of the work week, the Office for National Statistics will publish UK gross domestic product data for July.
That same day the University of Michigan will release the preliminary results of its consumer confidence survey for September.
