Serco appoints Nth America unit CEO, wins USAF training contract

(Sharecast News) - Government contractor Serco on Tuesday said it had appointed Michael LaRouche as chief executive of its North American division and announced it had won a US Air Force training contract.
LaRouche was business president at Science Applications International Corporation, having previously held leadership positions at Lockheed Martin and Raytheon, Serco said in a statement.
"Serco's North American business has strong momentum having more than doubled revenue to around $2bn since 2017 with a growing position in the US defence services market. Michael has delivered systems, products, and services across US Defence and Federal/Civilian Agencies, with proven leadership to space/ground, air, land, sea, and cyber customers which are highly relevant to Serco's strategy and growth ambitions," it added.
In a separate statement, the company said its MT&S mission training and satellite ground network communications software business acquired from Northrop Grumman, had secured a deal to provide enhanced simulator and training services.
"MT&S is the sole awardee under the programme which has a ceiling value of up to $972m (£720m) over five years and is expected to generate revenue of around $60m (£45m) from task orders during 2026," the company said.
