Alien Metals upbeat on start of drilling at Elizabeth Hill

(Sharecast News) - Alien Metals said on Wednesday that phase two diamond drilling had started at the Elizabeth Hill Silver Project in Western Australia, operated by its joint venture partner West Coast Silver.
The project is located in the Pilbara region, where Alien holds a 30% free-carried interest through to a decision to mine.

It said the new drilling campaign marked the next stage of exploration at one of Australia's highest-grade historical silver deposits and follows earlier work that identified extensions to known mineralisation.

"It's great to see our joint venture partner, West Coast Silver, progressing rapidly with the next phase of drilling at Elizabeth Hill," said Belinda Murray, executive director of Alien Metals.

"The commencement of this program marks another important step in unlocking the full potential of one of Australia's highest-grade historical silver projects.

"We look forward to the results from this campaign as the project continues to build strong momentum under the West Coast Silver team."

West Coast Silver is leading the programme, with results from the current drilling phase expected to provide further insight into the project's scale and resource potential.

At 1501 BST, shares in Alien Metals were up 3.89% at 0.19p.
