Amaroq uncovers several new high-grade gold zones

(Sharecast News) - Amaroq said on Tuesday that its 2025 field exploration programme in South Greenland had uncovered several new high-grade gold zones, including samples grading up to 38.7 grams of gold per tonne, as part of its efforts to expand its pipeline of satellite projects beyond the Nalunaq mine.
The AIM-traded company said its exploration work, which spanned 11 licences and included over 540 surface samples, led to multiple discoveries across the Nanortalik Gold Belt and Southwest Greenland.

Among the most significant results was a new high-grade gold zone at Qoorormiut North Ridge (Q-North Ridge) on the Vagar licence, where assays reached 28.6 grams per tonne over a two-kilometre corridor.

Amaroq said the structure was being advanced to scout drilling in 2026.

At Anoritooq, 50 kilometres north of Nalunaq, Amaroq confirmed a new gold-copper system at Isortup Qoorua with grades of up to 38.7 grams of gold per tonne and 1.98% copper, marking what it described as "a major new discovery" within the Nanortalik Belt.

The company said it would now test the area's potential to host a significant satellite gold resource.

Further sampling at Napasorsuaq, near the Nalunaq mine, returned up to 3.58 grams of gold per tonne and 0.54% copper, while additional discoveries were made at Grænseland, where quartz veins graded up to 3.9 grams of gold per tonne across 500 metres of strike, and at Tartoq and Ippatit, where previously undocumented mineralised zones were identified.

"The 2025 regional exploration programme, which involved over 540 surface samples across 11 licences, confirmed multiple new gold zones, validated historical showings, and defined several drill-ready targets for the 2026 field season," said James Gilbertson, Amaroq's vice president of exploration.

"We uncovered high-grade gold of up to 38.7 grams per tonne in new zones within the satellite reaches of our Nalunaq mine, underlining the substantial upside potential across the wider Nanortalik Gold Belt.

"The discovery at Q-North Ridge, in particular, defines a two-kilometre-long structure that, should grades be continuous, could be a future satellite source of ore for the Nalunaq processing plant."

He added that confirmation of the gold-copper system at Isortup Qoorua and the new veins at Tartoq and Grænseland demonstrated "that our systematic exploration programme is yielding tangible discoveries."

Gilbertson said the results "reaffirm the strategic nature of Amaroq's gold portfolio and our ability to continue building a multi-asset pipeline within one of Greenland's most prospective gold districts."

Amaroq said its 2025 exploration campaign - the first full-season regional programme since the start of Nalunaq mining operations - was designed to identify additional gold sources that could eventually supplement production or form standalone development projects.

Fieldwork, which ran from mid-June to mid-September, included geological mapping, prospecting and geochemical sampling across the Vagar, Anoritooq and Tartoq licences.

At 1345 GMT, shares in Amaroq were up 4.76% at 88p.
