Cerillion launches AI-enhanced version of CRM software

(Sharecast News) - Cerillion announced the launch of the latest version of its billing, charging and customer relationship management software on Wednesday, introducing a suite of artificial intelligence agents and a new Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server designed to bring conversational intelligence and automation to telecoms operations.
The AIM-traded firm said the new release, 'Cerillion 25.2', featured its first fully-featured AI billing agent, which would let users interact with billing, payment and transaction data using natural language.

It said customer service representatives or end-users could deploy the agent via Cerillion's self service portal and mobile app.

The company said the feature "transforms the way in which Cerillion's customers, and their end-customers, interact with financial information".

It said the launch included a broader family of AI agents covering all major business domains, including sales, workflow, catalogue and promotions.

The agents use chat-based interfaces to help users manage complex tasks, streamline decision-making and accelerate outcomes.

All were powered by the new MCP Server, which supports collaboration between multiple agents and enables integration with third-party AI systems, allowing clients to build "a connected AI ecosystem tailored to their business."

Cerillion said the software also introduced major platform enhancements, including a new service catalogue module designed to simplify the configuration and governance of resource-facing services.

Together with the existing enterprise product catalogue, the two systems provided "a seamless link between product design and service fulfilment," the company explained, helping telecoms providers bring new offerings to market faster.

"Cerillion 25.2 marks a major step forward in making BSS/OSS solutions truly intelligent," said chief executive Louis Hall.

"With our new MCP Server and family of AI Agents, we're transforming how users interact with their business applications - to ask questions, get instant answers, and take action across every function.

"This release signals the start of a new era of AI-driven BSS/OSS."

He added that Cerillion 25.2 was also "about accelerating how sommunications services providers innovate".

"From our new service catalogue and refreshed interconnect manager to our enhanced mobile app, we're helping customers bring new services to market faster than ever before."

At 1229 GMT, shares in Cerillion were up 1.68% at 1,454p.
