(Sharecast News) - Finseta announced the appointment of Andrew Richards as permanent chief financial officer and an executive director on Friday, with immediate effect.
The AIM-traded firm said Richards had been serving as interim CFO since 6 February and brought 25 years of experience, primarily in the financial services and insurance sectors.
"I am delighted to welcome Andrew to the board of Finseta as CFO - he has made a great start as Interim CFO and we are very pleased to be making this position permanent," said Gareth Edwards, chairman of Finseta.
"He brings experience in leading finance functions in regulated industries and overseeing the financial reporting for a multi-jurisdictional UK-listed business.
"We look forward to benefiting from Andrew's expertise as we continue to grow and execute on our strategy."
Richards spent 12 years at Chesnara, a UK-listed life insurance and pensions consolidator, including 11 years as group financial controller with responsibility for financial reporting and audit processes and support for cross-border merger and acquisition activity.
He also served for nine years as CFO of Countrywide Assured, Chesnara's principal UK operating subsidiary, overseeing financial strategy and management.
Earlier in his career, he was a senior manager in the financial services practice at Deloitte.
Richards is a Chartered Accountant.

At 1108 GMT, shares in Finseta were up 5.26% at 15p.
