Acuity RM to supply more services to Sopra Steria

(Sharecast News) - Acuity RM Group announced on Tuesday that it has secured a £75,000 contract to supply additional services to Sopra Steria in support of a British government cyber security programme.
The AIM-traded governance, risk and compliance software provider said the contract related to an upsell on an existing highly sensitive cyber security programme, adding automations and further functionality to an instance of its Classic STREAM platform.
It said the services were expected to be delivered by the end of August.
The programme had already generated more than £0.25m in revenue for Acuity over the past three years.
Under the terms of a potential partnership currently under discussion, Sopra Steria would develop a product built on Classic STREAM designed to help government and defence clients meet 'Secure by Design' cyber security requirements.
The board said that, given Sopra Steria's established presence in government and defence, a formal partnership could represent a material opportunity for the group, although no agreement had yet been finalised.
"We are proud to continue to serve the public interest by continuing to protect one of the UK's most security-conscious government ministries," said chief executive David Rajakovich.
"While discussions with Sopra Steria are ongoing and no formal agreement has yet been reached, we believe this potential partnership represents a significant strategic opportunity for the group."
Acuity said it would provide further updates as discussions progress.
At 1214 GMT, shares in Acuity RM Group were up 1.88% at 0.87p.
