(Sharecast News) - James Latham announced the appointment of Nick Widlinski to its board as an executive director with immediate effect on Monday, promoting a long-serving senior manager as the timber and panel products distributor looks to strengthen its leadership team.
The AIM-traded firm said Widlinski joined the business in 2008, initially serving as sales manager and later depot director at the company's Yate site, before being appointed group panel products director on the Lathams Limited board in 2019.
He would continue in his current role as sales and commercial director of Lathams Limited alongside his new board responsibilities.
The company said his experience in sales and supplier relationships would support the board's efforts to drive further growth.
Widlinski holds 1,532 ordinary shares in the company, representing around 0.01% of its issued share capital, and has 4,706 options under existing share schemes.
He would also be granted options over 3,108 shares under the Deferred Bonus Scheme 2012, exercisable at no cost in three years, with no performance conditions attached.
"It gives me great pleasure to welcome Nick to the plc board and we look forward to him helping to drive the business forward following his successful period in running our Panel Products division," said executive chairman Nick Latham.
At 1015 BST, shares in James Latham were up 2.04% at 1,000p.
