(Sharecast News) - Mobico said on Friday that it had signed revised German rail contracts with five public transport authorities in North Rhine-Westphalia and neighbouring regions.
The transport operator said the agreements implement structural changes to its Rhein-Münsterland Express and Rhein-Ruhr-Express contracts first announced in January.
The RME contract, covering lines RE 7 and RB 48, has moved to a gross contract structure from 1 January, removing revenue risk from National Express, with the term extended by two years to 2032.
Mobico said the loss-making RRX contracts, covering lines including RE 1, RE 5, RE 6, RE 11 and RE 4, would be shortened by three years and end in 2030, allowing coordinated retendering in line with regional transport plans.
At 1209 BST, shares in Mobico Group were up 0.94% at 22.89p.
