3i Infrastructure portfolio performs 'well' in Q1

(Sharecast News) - Investment firm 3i Infrastructure said on Thursday that it had made a "strong start to the new financial year", with its portfolio "performing well" overall.
3i said income for the period totalled £52m, in line with expectations, while its final FY26 dividend of 6.725p per share will be paid on 10 July. The group also said it remained on track to deliver its FY27 dividend target of 14.30p, up 6.3% year-on-year.

During the period, 3i agreed to acquire a further 23% stake from a minority investor, to be funded by third‑party co‑investors alongside 3iN, with 3i set to manage 90% of the equity, giving improved governance and control over exit timing.

Portfolio company Tampnet refinanced its debt facilities with a NOK 5.8bn (£450m) multi‑currency package, positioning it for its next growth phase. 3i also said lending appetite remained strong and it was working on further refinancings across three additional businesses.

The FTSE 250-listed group said it remained on track to complete its €300m investment for a majority stake in Lefdal Mine Datacenter this summer and also stated it had completed the sale of TCR on 17 June, receiving €1.1bn in proceeds and generating around a 3.5x money multiple and a 19% gross annual internal rate of revenue over the life of the investment. The proceeds of the TCR sale were used to repay its revolving credit facility in full.

3i Investments' Bernardo Sottomayor said: "We have made a strong start to the new financial year. Our high-quality portfolio is performing well overall, with most companies trading in line with or ahead of expectations, and we have completed the sale of TCR, crystallising exceptional value and transforming the company's liquidity. We are on track and excited to complete the new investment in the Lefdal Mine Datacenter campus this summer."

As of 0900 BST, 3i shares were 0.11% firmer 376.40p.
