Kainos makes strong start to year, raises FY27 guidance

(Sharecast News) - IT services provider Kainos said on Tuesday that it had made a strong start to the new financial year and lifted guidance for FY27, with the board now expecting revenues and adjusted pre‑tax profit to come in comfortably ahead of current market forecasts.
Kainos's update comes after it delivered double‑digit revenue growth, a very strong sales performance and record backlog levels in the year ended 31 March, with management stating momentum had continued through the opening months of FY27.

Digital services remained a key driver, supported by several major contract wins in the second half of FY26 and further awards since the new year began. Both Workday Services and Workday Products also continued to trade well, each posting double‑digit revenue growth compared with the same period last year.

Looking ahead, Kainos said it remained confident in the outlook for the year and beyond, underpinned by a robust pipeline and a sizeable multi‑year contracted backlog.

While the macroeconomic backdrop remained volatile, Kainos said it operated in markets supported by clear structural trends and was well positioned to deliver on its strategy.

Interim results for the six months ending 30 September will be published on 9 November.

As of 0845 BST, Kainos shares were up 21% at 1,176.70p.
