(Sharecast News) - Housebuilder MJ Gleeson said on Monday that chief financial officer Stefan Allanson plans to step down after 11 years in the role.
As part of an orderly succession process and following an extensive search process, Andrew Kirkman will succeed Allanson as CFO, and as a director of MJ Gleeson, on 19 October.
Allanson will formally step down from the board on 16 October and remain available to ensure an orderly handover until the end of the year.
Gleeson said Andrew Kirkman has had an extensive career in senior financial roles since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1996 and spending six years in investment banking. Most recently, he was CFO at commercial property group CLS Holdings, having previously held the position of CFO at regeneration, strategic land and development business, Harworth.
Chief executive Graham Prothero said: "On behalf of everyone at MJ Gleeson, I would like to say 'thank you' to Stefan and to recognise the significant contribution he has made to the business over the last eleven years. He has been a steadfast CFO to three CEOs in that time and helped to steer the business through some of the most turbulent periods the housebuilding sector has had to endure. We wish him all the very best for the future.
"I am delighted to welcome Andrew to the business. He will bring significant experience gained from over thirty years in senior financial roles across the wider sector. He arrives at MJ Gleeson well-versed in our business and sector and I look forward to working with him."
